Jasper National Park, Canada

Jasper National Park, Canada

This spring we traveled up to Alberta, Canada for a couple sessions, while there we hiked around the Athabasca Glacier. We had never been in weather this cold before, so we wore as many layers as possible in attempt to shield from the wind. The first time we tried getting to the glacier, the road was closed for hours due to the controlled avalanches. We ended up visiting 2 other times that week since we really enjoy this setting. After finding the ice cave hidden under mounds of snow, we spent hours admiring the deep blues & resting where the cave would block the wind from freezing our faces.

Santiam Wilderness, Oregon

We've been officially living on the road for a week. To be honest, it doesn't feel any different than our usual "road trips" we always do. It had rained a lot here the day before, so having the sun greet us as sunrise was especially nice. Here's what a typical morning looks like to us. We enjoy being warmed up up the sun peaking through the trees while making coffee.

Joshua Tree, California

Joshua Tree was the first place we went camping together 5 years ago, being only 2 hours from us in LA, it was always perfect for last minute camping trips, or even just a day trip. It's a jungle gym made of rocks, and we're happy to run around it for days.

This trip that we took here was a little different than others.. We left pretty late in the evening to drive home, and once we arrived, we noticed that our camera bag was missing. The only conclusion was that we left it in the middle of the desert. So we jumped back in the car to make the trek back. Staying positive, we just sang & made up songs the whole way. When we arrived at 3am, it was dark & cloudy, everything looked the same. We waited a few hours until sunrise (which was awesome..too bad we didn't have a camera to photograph it..), and the search began. We ended up finding it not too far off the road, hooray!

Coral Pink Sand Dunes, Utah

Another early morning. Our favorite part of traveling together is that we always leave room for spontaneity. We usually have a destination in mind, but we plan enough to ensure we have plenty of time to get lost on the way there. That's how we ended up here, the Coral Pink Sand Dunes in South Utah. Within minutes of walking through this sand, our toes had frozen!
